I had some old Czech glass beads in clear and French blue found on broken strands. I re-fashioned them into some dangle earrings. I made six pair, clear, blue and a few mixed. I love making jewelry. .

Paper Dolls
I made these paper dolls a few days ago. I found them on Pinterest and saved them and printed the image on plain white paper with a black ink laser printer. I glued them onto chipboard and then cut out the pieces. I added crepe paper to the antique ballerina and a little glitter and some paper flowers from German napkins, 1940's era. The Bunny was watercoloured and then cut out. Get inspired and make some of the things you see on Pinterest.
Vintage Clothing
I purchase new and vintage clothing and sell it on ebay and etsy but one of these days I would really love to have a store. Until then, I keep buying and selling. Here are just a few of the most recent purchases. Sometimes my daughter lists them for me. Her etsy store name is New Age Gypsy. All one word, newagegypsy....
Antique Catalina Island Photograph
A new antiques store open the other day and I found this old framed photo of Avalon, Catalina Island. It is signed by the artist and was taken in the 1920's. I really like the simple wood frame and it just hangs from a piece of twisted old wire. Notice in the photo that the casino hasn't been built yet.
Vintage Cutter Bill Cowboy Boots
So, I found these amazing old cowboy boots the other day and can't believe the luck, they are my size! You know what?...I would have bought them anyways! Dark navy blue leather with flowers and stitching. They are nice, andhit right at the knee. Made by Cutter Bill in the 50's I think. See my big Bauer crock behind them...the boots are tall!
Old Bauer Pottery Crock
I have this old Bauer pottery crock that came from my husbands' grandmother. It is a pretty good size piece, 2ft tall with a heavy lid. Redware also made big crocks that held butter and other food items. This is just the stamp on the front of the piece.
Bucking Bronco
Neat old postcard I purchased at a flea market a few years ago. The colors are really nice, hand tinted. This is Dudley Stevenson on Red Bird, circa 1908. The postcard was sent by a little boy. He tells his family that he is having a good time. He also asks if anyone would like to be on this horse. Sent from Wyoming in 1912 to Mrs. Willard in Nebraska. Postage was only 1cent. I really love the old postcards. I still enjoy buying and collecting them. I never used to read the back of the cards but now it's my favorite part. Just a few sentences can make you laugh or even cry.
bing & grondhal mouse
I just sold this little porcelain mouse yesterday, the colors on him were beautiful, mauve and pale shell pink. I am afraid of mice so this helped me see the beauty in the little guys. Made by Bing & Grondhal. I think I will miss the little guy.

Vintage Asian Wall Plaque
Interesting vintage wall plaque I found last week. Made of a heavy plastic composite. It is from the 60's and the color is a beautiful rich greenish teal. I am going to make a ceramic casting of this piece and will be making some art pieces from it in greys and matte whites. I will post the finished product in a few months.
Vintage Bride & Groom Cake Topper
I found this beautiful old chalkware bride and groom cake topper. The actual bride and groom are hand painted with the artists name on the back, and the date 1948. It was on the original platform that when onto the top of the tiered cake. Usually they aren't found this way. This has a really cute arch of old dimestore flowers and lace applied over the brides dress. This was listed on my ebay this week.
Rustic Sealife
Antique leaded glass bottle embellished with an old master brand key. The key has this great lion on the front. The top of the bottle has a vintage metal button cap. The ribbon is vintage rayon hem binding. Behind the bottle is an old white seashell and hand carved box from India. All of my items are for sale. If you are interested in anything I post, let me know and I can add a price. I sell some items on ebay and etsy.
