Found these beautiful vintage fern prints, I love the frames and matting even!

Also bought this really great antique cast iron Christmas Tree Stand. Elves and deer and little trees.
It is small, only about 10" across.

This is a keeper! Kenny Boy is going to be staying with us. Such
a good tempered little doxie~

Handmade Sweater Shorts & Cross Stitch project

I made some little cheeky shorts from a sweater! So easy, only took about 1hr.

I just made a casing and added a velveteen ribbon tie and took the buttons
and placket off of the sweater and sewed them onto the front of the
sweater shorts. The yarn is really soft on these, alpaca and cashmere and merino wool.

The backside....

Another fun fast project...added an antiqe/vintage cross stitched piece onto the
back of a linen button up shirt. Would look good on a denim shirt too! Pin
in place and sew with machine or by hand.

Christmas Decorations~ Vintage & New & Handmade

I found this real birds nest and added a small vintage
bird from a card game, then I added a definition from an old
dictionary "nest..." I glued it onto a child's wooden
block and just decorated the block with another part
of the old card and some vintage 40's fabric.

We love decorating for the holidays. I got a jump start this year when
I found big bags of vintage ornaments from my
local thrift store. I was so lucky to have found the "atomic" metal ornament!

I just made this the other night, a small porcelain espresso cup. I just
added some oasis inside and glued the bottle brush tree in place, added
some "snow" around the base and an adorable vintage plastic
miniature deer. Then I added just a touch of glitter. These are easy and fun.

(left)Christmas vignette using old Fiestaware plate and some antique silk buttons. Old bottle brush Christmas tree, a vintage plastic reindeer and a few Wright's trim packages. Found the "background" bag at Marshall's yesterday.

Below are two of my handmade miniature Christmas stockings that I made from a cashmere sweater and some vintage fabrics.
